Lifting 5-flight max, improved telemetry ranges

Two draft message specs support the features below

Headline Improvements

  • Jetpack trackers can now fly unlimited channels, no longer limited to 5 (no more self-clash)
  • Improved ranges/precision of all telemetry and new data
  • Positive ID of messages possible
  • Improved fingerprinting

Overview

Two message types have been drafted:

These two messages carry information to expand and enhance the set carried by RegularType1+BasicTelemetry.

Headline Features

  • Jetpack Trackers can now fly unlimited channels, no longer limited to 5 (no more self-clash)
  • Expanded Speed now covers up to 310 MPH, up from existing 95 MPH
  • Expanded Voltage range now from 2.7v - 6.06v, widened from existing 3.0v - 4.95v
  • Expanded Temperature range now down to -80F, lower than existing -59F
  • Improved precision from both 4-char and 6-char maidenhead grid
  • ... and more

The Dashboard has been enhanced to support these types.

The Dashboard will continue to support all existing functionality with no intention to end that support.

Future Changes

Jetpack will be enhanced to support these new message types and retire use of RegularType1, BasicTelemetry.
