Spot Search Dashboard¶
Overview¶
The Spot Search Dashboard displays data that Jetpack has transmitted, including Custom Message data.
For some message types, such as Regular and Basic Telemetry, the Dashboard knows how to decode and display them automatically.
However, for Custom Messages, Dashboard needs to be told what to look for, and how to decode the messages.
Message Definition¶
Use the Custom Message Definitions dialog to configure Dashboard to decode your Custom Messages.
When you configure a Message Definition in a given slot, Dashboard knows to look for your messages there.
The Message Definition inputs here are exactly the same as seen in the Editor - Custom Message Editor page.
Graphing¶
Dashboard will automatically graph every Field in your Custom Message.
Tabulating¶
Dashboard will automatically display in its results table the values in every Field in your Custom Message.
URL Parameters¶
Dashboard saves all of its configuration in the URL of the page.
You can bookmark the page, and share the link with others, and they will see exactly what you see.
All your configuration is stored in the link.
File Import / Export¶
The configuration for Dashboard can be imported and exported
You can save or load configuration for a given slot, or for the entire set of slots at the same time.
It is possible to load the Tracker GUI Copilot Configuration to Dashboard
The bulk file export from the Tracker GUI is compatible to import to Dashboard.
It is easier to link directly from the GUI to the Dashboard, however.
Tracker GUI Link¶
As noted in the Editor - Access page, there is a link created on the Tracker GUI which links you directly to the Dashboard page
This link to the Dashboard will fill-out all the configuration details the Dashboard needs to decode the data for the flight details you configured Jetpack with.
