About the Channel Map

The Channel Map is the central registry for WSPR pico balloon flights. Every WSPR pico balloon tracker transmits on a specific channel - a combination of band (frequency), time slot (which two-minute window of every ten-minute cycle), and callsign identifier - and the Channel Map tracks which channels are currently in use by which callsigns, so that no two trackers accidentally pick the same one and interfere with each other.

Browse live channel registrations across all WSPR frequency bands to see what's free. To reserve a channel, sign in with your callsign and submit a registration; other balloonists will then see your reservation and avoid that slot. The Channel Map works with any WSPR pico balloon tracker - Jetpack or otherwise.

For background on how WSPR channels work and how to pick one, see the Channel Map help page.
